Not gunna run through the stats and stuff, but if memory serves me half decently....very rare that we don't have a player represent either NSW or Qld.
I recall some series there were 3-4 in each team !!
This is not 100% terrible, as prefer the players being available for Manly over state, but just kind of hit me when Haumole was not even in the NSW team.
Maybe it's happened a few times before, but I find it a rare thing and maybe a sign of how Manly are travelling in 2025

WTF is billy thinking, I can only assume he is going for an impact bench but Nanai who was our best in the first game is on the bench and Loiero (who is underwhelming and the only thing he is good at is giving penalties away) is starting over Carrigan?!?!

If Walsh didn't look like he was still carrying an injury even though he played great last week but looks one big origin hit away from going off injured, I would prefer him over Ponga, although O'brien has said Ponga is carrying a injury and has to be medded up to play. Ponga has just been average to me this year, not in his best form IMO.

If I see Val rush in defence and not even touch someone like he did in game 1, I'll lose it.

I'd love to notice in game 2 that Hammer is even on the field, UTILISE HIM CORRECTLY!!

Tino didn't look 100 percent in the titans game, kept grabbing his upper chest after every hit up. We need him though.

Been dishing out the smug condescension for 8 years, but can’t cope with a tiny bit in return. Haumole was in the squad, but has pulled out at his own request as his wife is due to give birth around the time the team would be across the other side of the country in Perth. I think that it might also affect us if Mrs Olakau'atu goes into labor in the next couple of days.....but TBH I'd rather he be at the birth of his first child. That's not something that comes along every day.

About 9 years and 11 months to be exact. Game 3, 2015 was played on July 8 (it was the 35th anniversary of the very first Origin game).

For the record ... Qld won that game 52–6. And the NSW coach that series?? Laurie Daley..... DCE was the only Manly player involved that series. He got selected for the Qld bench in Game 1 but actually withdrew with injury. He was then half for the 2nd game after Cronk broke his arm, but became the scapegoat for their 2nd game loss and wouldn't re-appear until 2019.
