Whilst it's dissapointing Kings in the bottom 10, I'd love to see average metres per game over lifespan of career. I remember a few 13 metre efforts.

I reckon Manly should say to King...we'll pay you $75 per metre. If he plays well like Kite did, he'd get $14,400 for the match.

His CURRENT metres would earn him $5,400.

I bet he'd be making more metres, and I bet he wouldn't back himself, and put his name to a contract like that.

Hehehe...true mate. One thing I DID notice about King, that we can say a lot of other props don't do, is he often stops before the line and passes, adding width to our attack. It shows he's not one dimensional, and might add to the aspect that he doesn't get the metres of some others?

you dont get metres for an pass before you get tackled - hence why halfbacks often get the least metres.

Exactly, and King often does this as well....and to be honest..I'd rather a prop that passes etc, than one who just makes metres...so to an extent, understand where your coming from regarding your stance on him.

They must have forgotten to add those free metres he gets from running back the kickoffs.

    What's too fast about King?

Ponderous might be a better description.

not unlike King then hey? Problem is, I've never seen King take a game by the scruff of the neck as Moi Moi has on occasion.

Moi Moi is there for impact. King is just soft and lazy. Do you honestly believe he adds "impact"?

Not as monotonous as King getting picked week in and week out despite his abject mediocrity.

The only thing you can say about him is that he is in our top 5 props – but that’s not saying much. Fact is I struggle to think of any other NRL team that would start him.
