Sports Digg style site -> Social Bookmarking

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone would like or use a site like Digg specifically for sports. I know there is theroar, but it lacks an international flavour and could have been set up better TBH.

So just wondering if you guys would use such a site and "Digg" sports news articles from around the net on there?

Yep it would be good.

I use news.google.com to search for news but if one was soley devoted to sport it would have a much wider reach with user input.

Reckon it sounds like a good idea.

Does digg allow forum discussion on the articles?

nope.

The idea is that it is a central bookmarking site,

So you submit a partial news story. Say you were reading an article on MSE, and you liked it, you can submit it to this site, it is basically the URL, the title and a description, you then "Digg" that article and put it up there for other users to "Digg". Essentially it is like a bookmark, and others can then read the article, by going to the actual site, and they can bookmark it too.
