Some of the errors have certainly been a lack of composure but a number of them were bat downs for six again, etc. the big killer has been the forwards again, as it was against Melbourne. We just don’t get ruck speed and always have to kick on our side of halfway which means Bunnies start there sets 30m out. We start all ours 10m out from our own line.

Harper has made two crucial missed tackles (one on Gagai and one on Cook) where both players were able to put in kicks that led to tries.

I agree the refs haven't had a bearing on this game. The thing is, we are only a fraction off but at this time of the year, you get absolutely punished. We could get away with it against any team other than the top 3.

Spot on…….not in the top 3 league…..actually Parra would have smashed us if we played them last week.

Well, that was about as bad a half of footy as we can play. Just hope from here we show we can compete and don't roll over completely. With very limited opportunities, we've shown we can be dangerous with the ball. But we've got to stop coughing up possession so cheaply and - dare I say it - cheerfully. When Cherry got up grinning after another cheap turnover it nearly did my head in.

Hold onto the ball. Show them we can play footy. Score a couple and see what happens. Don't give up.

I genuinely think we need to start thinking about a new halfback. Absolutely disgraceful from someone who’s played for 10+ years, for state and country, to be playing with zero composure and forcing so many errors when we are already under so much pressure.

Yes we are making mistakes in possession, but we still scored 2 tries. Souths tries have been other than the last, were from back to back help from the refs. Even C Walkers try was scored (I did the slow mo cause I wasn't sure) but the Souths player who handed the back was offside at the ruck so it should have been called back.

What I don't get is the restarts when Souths are attacking, they get them EVERY time, we get smashed in tackles held onto but all we get is milking. That is Cr%p.

We have not been given EQUAL opportunity and it is a joke. Souths unbelievable great, great attack.... it is a rort!

Forward pack not winning the battle, and a half who cant compose the team with the right plays at the end of a set like good halves do.

Would take a monumental effort to recover from this. Tom just needs to get the ball in his hands in the 2nd half, don't care if forwards arent going forward etc,. Every set, give Tom the ball just give manly any chance..

Garrick's try was a try every day of the week. Reynolds would have needed a motorbike to get involved in the play. It's 100% bullsh!t.

Like I said the last time Suli played ... he can tackle, we've seen him do it. But he reads the defence at a pre-school level.

Thankfully after this year he's no longer a hole in our defensive line.

I'm not writing us off. This Manly team is always a threat and could make a historical comeback. That said, what a disappointing 1st half performance on so many levels. One of the worst Captain Composure performances I can remember and in a situation where he is leading many young inexperienced players in a finals game. That decision to get cute and pass on the blind side to Harper (which ended with Saab getting bundled into touch) was sheer dumbness. He should have dummied and gone himself. His defender was already over-committing and offering a half chance, but just not having the foresight as a leader to not play such low percentage and place unnecessary pressure on his young outside backs in that situation... Geez. I'm so pi$$ed off with his performance.... even more-so, because the old guy (Foz) on the other side has played brilliantly in defence to try and compensate for DCE's arrogance

Des should have gone with Walker in place of Suli. Moses has failed often enough to show he isn't first grade quality.

Spot on... I would add that Saab and Suli have showed their lack of big game experience with bad reads...
