SOO 2 - 2018 Game Day - Blues Win Series

For everything us manly fans have been put through this year last night sitting on the half way line in the members area made up for it.

Great game to be at live and saw a number of manly hats caps and jerseys out at the game.

Jake and Tom can only become better players from this..Jake surely will lead us to our next premiership in about 5 years or so..he made a immediate impact from the bench last night.

Benny Hunt....fmd how mentally weak is he. I knew he'd fail at this level when I heard he wasnt even willing to take drop kick shots at club level. Hopefully he has a long and non distinguished career for the Maroons for many years to come!

Ok so first off.. woohoo one in a row NSW!

second I cant understand why Hunt was not binned, but Roberts was. It was the exact same foul and deserved a binning.

The penalty try was justified, but also so was a binning one doesn't wipe out the other, they are seperate parts of the same penalty

The refereeing was puzzling as always, the 10 metres was non-existant for most of the match.

freddy commented about that also, a penalty try & no sin bin v a 10 minute sin bin where a team could score multiple times?
they might need to take an idea off ice hockey - sin bin for a certain time or until a try is scored.

I've always thought Hunt was a decent footballer and last night was no different ... like Pearce he's solid at club level (see dragons) but origin really puts players under the microscope and I suspect Taylor to maybe get a callup

This is the front page of the courier mail today, gave me a laugh. love the pearce reference

Thoughts????? Tariq Sims and Ryan james in for Prior and Crichton. Keary and cotric in.... Well done on the blues victkry but i think the "squad" players deserve their opportunity now the series is won. Keary to 5/8 and Maloney steps aside as a winner for the better of the team going forward. Cotric in for Roberts, Turbo to centre.

I wouldn't trust Lockyer to steer any conversation. The man can barely put a coherent sentence together.

His post match interview with Kevin Walters would have done justice to a butchers shop, because that's what he did....butchered it.
Lockyer and wally lewis should be dropped from all commentary after this yr. I cant stand the stumbling and dribble that comes out of their mouths

Ben Hunt.....he seems to be Qld's version of Mitchell Pearce. Decent to good club player (though I think Widdop carries him a bit for St Merge), can't handle big game pressure though. And I see the Qld papers couldn't resist sticking the boot into Pearce today. The guy doesn't play and he still cops it from them.

James Roberts.....a wasted spot. Tom should be in the centres with Cotric on the wing.

Jake was close to MoM for mine.

Ponga had a very good debut, but he still has a lot to learn at fullback. Qld are definitely going to miss Slater. He might not be our favourite player here in Silvertails, but Slater made that Qld side look better than it was last night.

Have to laugh at Queensland's collective cry of "we were robbed". Cordner apparently took a dive and Ch.9 in Brisbane think they have found clear cut evidence that Gagai's no try was actually a try. Qld, poor winners, worse losers.
