Kristie Fulton is currently the Junior Development Manager at the Sea Eagles and hence is in charge of the current Harold Mathews premiership winning team.

That team had zero local juniors. So....what does 'Local Junior Development' actually mean ?

And in the meantime.... who is actually doing development of our local juniors ?

It can't be easy keeping a winning dynasty in place without trying to get the best players no matter where they are. We all want to see our NRL team have bus loads of skilled backup in reserves in the future, but at what price ?

Who do we all love in the long run ? One club players who show old school tradition and went to a local school. You know... like a Beaver.

Same crap happening in every junior area. It's not a "Manly club thing". it's a product of the way the game has changed since we played for the RIGHT REASONS. . It's saddening but good on the lady for bringing it to light though.

Todd Greenburg should be ashamed of what is happening. This culture needs to be stamped out. The kids are the life blood of the game and without them there will be no rugby league. No wonder the AFL is doing so well in Australia.

Don't kid yourself mate, this happens in junior Aussie rules as well.

In professional sport, the sport is there just to bring in the masses. Winning is the business.

The AFL is doing better for other reasons.

Take football. Whilst there might not be the same registration issues there is a larger problem of paid development squads which hoover up all the talent

Totally agree, currently in local soccer clubs are securing talent in this way and even at under 9s age groups.

Netball clubs proactively recruitment players and talent from other clubs at similar ages.

Issue here is playing under false name and the player being sent off/suspending wrong person - taking accountability and resolving this in a appropriate way would have avoided this.

Yep. Can you imagine being in a business where you have 3 competitors, and their CEOs are Todd Greenberg, David Gallop and Raelene Castle? Market conditions don't get any better than that!!

Looks like our junior league is just as ****ed up as our nrl side.
