Last nights win by Manly was the biggest ever turn around in margin in finals. The previous best was Brisbane in 06, who went on to win the GF vs Melbourne.

Des Hasler is 5/5 in prelim finals. (07, 08, 11, 12, 14).

Souths have lost their last 3 preliminary finals, but there is a pattern in margin (-2 year on year on year), points scored (+6 year on year on year) and points conceded (+4 year on year on year).
2018 - 8 point loss (12-4 v Roosters)
2019- 6 point loss (16-10 v Canberra)
2020- 4 point loss (20-16 v Penrith)
If this pattern continues, Manly will win 24-22.

Probably worth adding that Trbo now has the most tries ever scored by a fullback in a season, eclipsing Rhys Wessers 26 in 2003. Wesser and Penrith won the premiership in 2003.

I'll trust the stats more after we've won it. Before then anything can happen.

We should be good enough to beat the Rabbits, but we underestimate them at our peril.

Another stat Fox pointed out was every time Manly and Roosters played each other in a semi, one always went through into the GF.

Also if you add the digits in 2021 you get five and it took five rounds for us to get our first win. Five plus five equals 10 and it has been 10 years since our last premiership, so the numbers all point to us.

The LWWW has been mentioned a few times but this now has me very concerned about our first match next year (or maybe second, if its WWWW now, although do trials count?)

EVERY time Manly has played the Roosters in the finals, one of those teams has gone onto the Grand Final and 5/6 have won the grand final.
