It's possible we could have the comp's smallest pack next year, if we go with:

Jake / Api / Myles / Mateo / Symonds / Buher + Brown / Lawrence / Lussick / Parcell.

Still a great pack.. very mobile, good ball players .. but would have liked a giant power forward or two to balance the recruitment.

Barrett is taking a big bet that reduced interchange will speed NRL up... If he's wrong (as Bozo was when Blues picked too many small forwards a few years back) we will have problems.

No all good we will live off matty parcells speed in the ruck. We have a horrible pack this year yet we continue to beat top teams, our pack will be better next year.

Jake plays bigger and Mateo takes a few defenders along with him every time.

Size isn't everything. It's leg strength that's important. You need the ability to drive and bust through tacklers.

Great pack with starting second rowers Mateo, Symonds.........no thanks.
Not impressed with overall recruitment so far, Myles best behind him, Brown not game breaker, Lussick may not even make the bench, Moltzen ?? How many full backs we need? Api looks ok but still like Ballin as number one. Wright ACL injury and needs to improve tackling skills...........

Maybe Mateo and Symonds as starting second rowers could be stronger, but I still think they both do a job for us. Also Jake T and Myles upfront will be one of the best front row combos in the league. Myles is an absolute work horse. And I predict will go up a level, now that he wont be playing off the spastic halves at the Titans. As the interchange has dropped, players like Browne and Burher will be very handy. Same with Api, he will be a weapon out of hooker, he will definitely relive pressure off our halves to perform.

The forward pack should be better in 2016.
8 Starling
10 Myles
11 Mateo
12 JSL
13 Jake trbojevic
14.Buhrer
15.Lussick
16.Symonds
17 Lawrence

I wouldn't say we will have a smal pack.
Myles, Mateo, JT and Lussick are decent size.
We have a Tiny backrow apart from Mateo, but as they say it's not the size that matters

Size has its place but mobility and strength are more important Now. When Parramatta won their 3 in a row they did it with a mobile pack that wasn't huge.

Agree on the mobility front. Steve Folkes played his career at 86kg using speed and technique rather than size, but he did have some big boppers around him

remember it not the size of the dog in the fight but the fight in the dog that counts and they are all hard fighters

Sad to say but over the last few years when Horo (hulking 2nd rower) is on fire, Manly is in fine form. And now Mateo is doing the same. You need the extra drive and defense attracting capability that these guys have to get on top.

Missed Starling in your pack whom with Jake has been churning out 100m+ off the bench

chuck in the reduction in interchanges and you want big motors more than ever.

Myles, turbo BJ and Starling can all play 50+ minutes with ease

Looking at tonights game, some awesome packs with these too, along with Roosters. Cowboys also have a very strong pack compared to what will will have in 2016, and look at what Souths did too them last week.

I know we beat Souths a few weeks ago, but last week they were a different beast. When they play tough semi final football, Souths and Roosters packs are awesome and sometimes look unstoppable!

Really, Awesome...
