Has Manly ever field a bigger forward pack / bench than the one against Panthers tomorrow?

3 x 115 kg or so on bench
4 x 110 kg or higher in starting pack

Hope Lussick has mobility to play lock for high minutes.

I always thought lussick was better suited to play back row.. Pretty sure the first game i ever saw him play in the 20s he was playing edge back row and made a few line breaks.. Never liked his work in the front row with the exception of the back end of last season

Lussick as a junior offered a bit mobility - he also possessed a great offload, but his role now is hard, straight runs, no errors and to adjust a tad quicker in the defensive line - good player with plenty to of ability.
Back to the thread - Good, big pack - just need to reshape quick defensively in the middle, as this is where Penrith will take aim early with plenty to prove.

Lussick not as mobile as he once was. I'm interested in how Baz uses Cullen. Still think we can use our bench better. Darcy pushing out 25 mins at Lock at the start of each half and Cullen playing lock. Sure he is not what anyone thinks of when you think of a forward. But 5/8 lock. We couldn't do it every week. But I'm convinced going Small and Nimble after our big blokes cause some damage can destroy the Riff this week.

Lussick was used as a lock at the sqeels
But we all know that didnt go to well , but he has played there before so know what is expected of him

Use the big blokes to tucker em out, then run Cullen on to create havoc with his agility.

Might be a reasonable game plan.

Lock these days is basically an 80 minute prop with some ball skills. One day it might return but in a lot of ways the traditional lock like Fatty or Kosef or Gifty is gone.

I personally would love to see jamil in at lock when available
Hits like a prop, follows the offload in backup and has soft hands and ball playing ability

Not convinced that Darcy can go long minutes nowadays. I do like the idea of Cullen coming on with quick nimble feet to open them up late in the half. Let's see how we go.

If Darcy Lussick plays 80 minutes later today I'll be surprised. I can actually see Lane getting a fair bit of game time because if Darcy did even half the work Jake does at lock he'll be heading for the oxygen tent at half time, if not before.

Darcy has a lot of heart, but his motor is a front rowers and he's conditioned to do 20-25 minute spells.

And as much as I'm not a fan of Kennedy's I hope he goes well today.
