Siua Taukeiaho Signs

Well one thing I don’t have to suffer in 2025 on thus medium

The Aaron Woods jokes
The key word from your post is to Suffer my feathered friend @Mark from Brisbane
and every year that we fail to feature in a Manly Grand final
I Suffer
We all have now been now suffering for over a Decade

I call this the Decade of Sufferance

One of these things is not like the others 😂
Regain some of his form? He played 0 games last season, and 10 the season before. We are looking at 22 at BEST form wise.

I just wish we'd address gaps / holes. That's all.

From 6 years ago? Heck, on that basis, I want Lyon, Beaver, Ballin (we need a hooker), Choc, Gift, Rodney and Kite back please ?
Six years ago those guys were all 2+ years older than Taukeiho is now, so I think he could still have a season or three of good footy left in him.

Train and trial deal hopefully, hasn’t played an NRL game since 2022 and the game has only got quicker for an ageing middle.

The risk is eliminated somewhat if the contract is train and trial.

Manly confirm gamble on injury prone veteran as Sio Siua Taukeiaho signs

Nine World Sports ....

Taukeiaho was one of the most consistent front-rowers in the game in his nine years with the Roosters but is now 32 and has played just 10 games in the past two seasons - and none in 2024.

The veteran prop was dogged by a nagging foot injury and eventually underwent surgery midway through this year.
He is on a train and trial deal with Manly - similar to the one on which they signed tough forward Nathan Brown this season.
But he has been given extensive medical checks and cleared by the Sea Eagles' high performance staff to resume full training.

Taukeiaho agreed to play for the Bulldogs last season but the injury continued to hamper him and he never took the field.

He agreed to a train and trial with the Sea Eagles on Friday and will formally sign a contract next week.
He then only has to get through the trials to earn a spot in the club's 30-man roster.

"He is big, strong and experienced and will add something to us," a Manly source told Wide World of Sports.

"He lives in the area so it's handy for him and he should be great for our young forwards."
