Not convinced Harper’s defence is anything to be confident about just yet given the opposition he’s faced and this weekend will be a litmus test but one thing he does possess is a second effort and if he is beaten he’s trying his hardest to rectify the mistake,which is more than what Suli showed

Hope I’m wrong (sorta) but I think Des will move Harper back to reggies for Walker, and drop Toff from the bench for Sironen. Personally I’d like Sironen in there for his excellent defence, but really don’t want anyone moved out of the side. Wonder if they’d notice us playing with 18...

The good thing is,we’ll find out this weekend where the team really is.A strong showing or even a win,will mean Des has no choice but to stick solid but another towelling like last time and he can do what he likes

Its good to have depth. No reason why the three named shouldn't return via reserve grade whilst the current side is firing. We may week need them soon you never know what's around the corner. We need to use our squad and not get locked into the blinkered outlook of thinking within the top 17. The experience the younger guys have received during the last month has effectively extended our squad well outside of the underperforming inner sanctum selections were coming from during the first 4 rounds. The squad looks much happier for it and are playing for each other. If you keep picking underperforming players loyalty quickly becomes blind loyalty. But winning teams deserve loyalty.

I didn’t even see Siro tbh. I was so focused on Sipley, and the pure, unadulterated joy he was showing. I had a grin from ear to ear.
