> Siosiua Taukeiaho < - wrong name - right place

The Cowboys persisted with kick-offs down DCE's side on the weekend which meant he offloaded to either Taukei or later Sipps. One of the few tactics that worked for them, as we were then starting inside our own 10 and struggling to get out of our red zone, early. We seem to better returning on restarts when it's kicked to our attacking left for some reason. Just an observation.

Even if Alioia can hopefully go well against the Warriors , still be more inclined overall to include Taukeiaho as a starting prop when available again .
Justs adds that bit of variation and skill level to give the pack a bit more of an edge .
Then in another instance , maybe would not matter that much if Alioia can deliver again in a starting prop role and T K O from the bench.
Then more the consideration to balance the bench with these two available .
But , first things first and to get the better of the Warriors all across the park to keep the momentum going

He played 22 minutes last week, which gave him 11 matches in 2 and a bit years. If he was the one they missed tonight, the team is a shambles
In those 22min he made post contacts, got fast PTBs and made some good offloads…

He looked mobile and effective which no forward did tonight… just my impression but I thought he was very good last week…

Mind you we got ALL the momentum handed to us last week so it is a totally different game…

That’s right,a lot of people looked over the fact Manly received so much “leg ups” early in that game and much like tonight but the other way,the Cows were gassed

He lacked physicality for me and that’s what he is there for, he doesn’t offer much running the ball.
Really? I saw him belt Mitch Barnett and force an error. I also liked the energy of his charges. He only managed half an hour though, given it was his first game back. I liked his intent.
I'm not fan and would personally like to see the back of him but I thought he looked energetic tonight.

He did put a hit on Barnett and that was a good effort, though that would have been his highlight reel tonight, doesn’t offer anything running the ball.

He may well be better for the run, need more physicality out of him though.

We absolutely missed him last night and yes we were a shambles....not only in the forwards but right across the park. He may have only played 22 minutes last week but I thought he was easily the most dominant forward in the middle. I would not mind betting we have Taukehaio and Lodge as our starting props later in the years. At the very least that would give us some aggression up front. Sadly lacking last night....and last few years!!
