Silvertails greatest ever whipping boy

Barrett copped it from the minute he walked in the door at Brookie... he did not do anything to convince anyone otherwise but at the same time he oversaw a complete sh*tshow in the back offices... something he and Peter Sharp had in common...

I realise he is not in the same league as most of these nominations but I have to throw GoJetSki's name in the mix... copped it from all sides (certainly this side 😀) and then went on to be a star at the cows and the donkeys...

...oh, wait...

What Does Cracking the Whip Really mean ?
It means
To Demand obedience , hard work and efficiency from your players in a Harsh and Stern Manner

Time for Seibold to earn his Stripes , Turn into a Real Sargent , Stamp his Authority , Get the Whip out and Get the most out of his players

It is a Battle field on the NRL field
and We Need a Serious Sargent to fire up our players
No one wants to return to the sheds being behind on the scoreboard and face a Sargent who has the shts .
No more I am proud of the Boys after a Manly loss
Change your Ways Seibold !

Yes I’d forgotten Kingie , he was slammed pretty hard as well.

But a real honest toiler, and I bet if you asked any of his team members from back then what they thought they’d say “ first player picked “.

There are SO many armchair critics here , all experts ( in their own lunchtime ).
Spot on MFB
I can confirm that all the boys backed Kingie as a leader and one they wanted to play alongside
Our roles as fans is too support
That’s all

It really frustrates me listening to others speak of players ability as hopelessness and costing us games
Here’s another little secret
Many of our ST champion players are revered on here speak about there respect for Baz

I think Frank stokes spoke about whipping boys and the crap that Baz copped

Let me say Baz busted his ass for manly during turbulent times with a head office basket case

Forget footy and coaching competencies, Baz is a well respected and knowledgeable coach and a champion bloke
Not many here are privy to inside workings and nether am I
But I do know past and present players reasonable well, along with now coaching staff and are amazed how involved it is
So, I just stick to being a fan and cheer every player good enough to run out on Brooky
Go manly says
Go
Manly

Or worse , how dare Manly sign anyone , yes ANYONE without them being absolute superstars.
Bring Back the signing of Superstars
Bring Back our Grand final Winning Godfather
Bring back the Awesome Arko

The Good old Days in our Good old Winning Ways
Arko with one of his Premiership Winning Superstars recruits
Former St George Gun centre Michael O'Connor

Think that Lewis Brown was playing for the Panthers just prior to coming to Manly
Could be wrong but think that he also played as a hooker briefly apart from the back row and very occasional fill in centre for Manly .
Jason King would hardly or surely hardly rate as a liability during his entire Manly career
. Had some decent toe for a big man as well and fitting that he was part of that 2008 premiership squad

You won't believe this, but apparently GoJetSki is somehow the frontman to be the Broncos starting second rower alongside Jordan Riki. Either Madge has pulled off a miracle, or, everyone is yet again overlooking the fact he coached the literal best players of the NRL last year... And he's still got some bad decisions and poor coaching in him.

For what it's worth Snoz was not an Arko recruit.
Arko had become chairman of the ARL in 1984.
Snoz didn't join manly until 1987.
I stand Corrected feathered friend and it is worth remembering the Great Heights our Glorious Godfather had reached in the game and the Great contributions he had made

Arko may have not signed Snoz the Superstar
But he did sign another Illustrious International Super Star in Tina Turner
to promote our Great game as Simply the Best the World had ever seen

Hi Mark,

Brown’s stint at Manly ran from 2016-18. In other words, Barrett’s tenure.

Hasler rejoined Manly in 2019.

And no matter how piss poor his form might have appeared under the garden furniture boy ... in his first 2 years with us Brown played 24 games out of a possible 24 games in 2016, and 22 out of 27 in 2017.

He only played 2 first grade games in 2018 which also happened to be his last year in the comp (he played 13 games for Blacktown that year).
