some sg ballers held back from last years team, gee some of them did well playing above their age,

Noxi at 8 the big front rower will absolutely cain them, gee i thought he would have been flegg!!! poor opposition also kiwi girls brooke in front row?? last year he was 2nd row, he will kill em too, great front row, wont be any better, daniel harrison and jay hemming were great in the back row as well, and john kennedy a livewire ex half whose brother got injured is hooker

TOP PACK, will be unstoppable

only back from last year is fullback trent reilly, pretty quick and knows how 2 score a try, the half jai jones played last year in matts but was injured abit i think, didnt set the world on fire so hope he goes better

one thing he will have a pack going forward

numbers 2-6 I dont know (or cant remember) probably new players Crusher brought in, also no one from the bench either

sorry cannot help in matts, but will give u all a report after saturday in first game

still looking at forwards it will be at least a semi final season for sg ball AGAIN

Just my opinion but this site must build itself around this very type of information. If not, then someone else do it and there you have a specialist unofficial site, thats worth mainstream support.

Great info Darren and comment from Jatz.
Most of us don't get to see the juniors play of have access to this sort of info.
Increasing the stength and competitiveness of our juniors is crucial to the future wellbeing of the club. We need a couple of likely prospects emerging each year and this starts right back in Harold Matts. We all know that one of the foundations of our mid 90's success was the effort put into the juniors in the early nineties.

How true is that Bradza. Kosef, Gartner, Elsegood, Danny Moore, Chris Ryan, Hoppa and co were all products of the Ball and Flegg Teams (some locals, some imports) and then moved to grade. When Lowe stepped down in the early 90s there was a group of young and inexperienced but talented players who came through. Bozo developed those players and they formed a nucleus of a strong side. Add a Tezza, Cement, Ridge and Spud and you have a quality team that dominated for quite a while!

contrary to some people bagging Crusher, there is plenty of talent in lower grades, and it wasnt there before crusher, the flegg team is chocas with talent, this year the 1st game will be great to watch, groomy and the boys running riot

this will take time but meaney, cuthbo, ballin, groom, noxi, berryman are names that have a big chance of playing 1st grade with us, thats only the ones i rate highest

I spoke with a club official who works with the juniors and he said that last weekend was the cut and the squads were then trimmed to final numbers. Many of the younger players at Gosford were playing for their final shot at representing Manly.

Worth noting that both the Roosters and Parra, the week before, were fielding their selected squads.

People who are knocking Crusher are either too impatient or ignorant!! It takes time to develop top players and it is very rare that someone walks into a club and is a sensation overnight!

you have no idea Canteen!!!

Crusher should have produced 5 Jamie Lyons, 2 Nathan Hindmarshs and a couple of Tim Smiths in his tenure to date.

Seriously if only 1 or 2 from the current lot make a mark on the NRL that is a good result in the current climate imo.
