As the NRL currently has 17 teams, can you select your best possible 17 man squad with just one player from each team? Guidelines: not selecting players completely out of position plus selecting a standard bench (one utility, one backrower and two props).

This exercise has conundrums. For example are there any Dragons players, other than Hunt, worthy of selection? If Hunt's most suitable position is 14, how can Hynes or Ponga fit into the team? Similarly, are there any Tigers players, other than Api, worthy of selection? The Storm have the best five eighth & the best hooker in the NRL - who to omit, Munster or Grant?

In my team I've selected Hynes over Cleary because I think he has a better running game. I also pondered over these selections - Tapine or Young (Raiders), Kikau or Addo-Carr (Dogs), Tabuai-Fidow or Kaufusi (Dolphins), Carrigan or Haas (Broncos) & Faásuamaleau or Fifita (Titans).
