Seb Wileman - centre

Walker at his fittest best is the best centre in the game. Kelly is close to being one of the best backs in the game. We are fine at that department.

Latrell Mitchell craps all over him. I rate Dylan but he’s not better than Mitchell.

I like Kelly too but he is nowhere close to being “one of the best backs in the game”. I like your enthusiasm for our players but you’ve got to be realistic

Even Joey manu is better than Kelly. They came in roughly same time n is younger than BK I think. Special player

I've seen a lot of the Rats this year to know that Wileman wouldn't cut it at NRL, scored a good try today and throws himself into tackles but offers no more that Brad Parker overall.

Example of the level of club Rugby, if Tom Wright played in the Shute Shield, he'd be near the best player in the comp.

He may well end up there in a year or two.

I am being realistic 2017 Dylan Walker showed he can be the best centre in the game.

A fit Walker playing in the centres last year proved to be the best centre in the game and won the Dally M centre of the year .
At his best Walker is explosive ,

When Sam Burgess went to union.... wasn't he an outside centre?

That's right, I dunno what my point is either.

Thanks for posting!

Was that YouTube clip played at x2 speed ?
All it really needed was some Benny Hill music.

P.S. Walker seems to have lost a yard or two of zip since last year. Hopefully an off season will help him.

Best centers in the game have always been classy and smart. Lyon, O'Conner best examples. Tom Wright and a focused more mature Dylan Walker would be great but Wright has defensive issues and Dylan needs to get the trash talk crap out.

Did anyone watch the dragons match yesterday V Newcastle?

I saw the last 5 mins on mute at the gym. Was hoping to see how Zac Lomax went.

Big, tall 18yr old centre/fullback that debuted in round 10 this year.
I think he’ll turn out to be a top 1st grader..

Funny how some posters are slinging off at the poor defence in union when even Zorba is describing our defence at "plasticine".
If anyone watched Easts play last night you'll see just how much better their outside backs are than ours. To suggest we have "all the outside backs we need" is consigning us to a 2019 season that will be worse than this season. We can't rely on Doesn'tmatta being worse than us to avoid the spoon. They have signed Ferguson, Penny, Paulo (and probably others) already.

I used to get momentarily excited about YouTube highlights for young fellas but the defence or lack of it always makes Cortinas look like Ferraris. Ive seen some highlights from Ben Barba in the ESL this year and he looked untouchable and is apparently pushing for the man of steel etc. But ESL and NRL defence is chalk and cheese and I'll bet he's not the star over here scoring 4 tries a game when he returns.

Fitting any new prospective [ or maybe in this instance ] unproven player into a top 30 man roster would probably be the main consideration . Presumably Anderson will be an automatic top squad inclusion next season replacing Jono Wright , maybe young Olka for Lane , a vacancy for Brown . If the cap permits , always handy adding low cost promising players but again top 30 rosters have to come into play . Wasn"t there a winger for the Rats who attracted similar attention this time last year . Similarly if this union back seems that good,, i am sure that he will receive the expected attention from league scouts , including Manly .

I was most impressed by the kicking of the University goal shooter. Not just his shots for goal but also his touch finders. I know that because of the scoring structure rugby teams will often carry a player just because he can kick but how good would it be to have a player in the team who can pretty much guarantee a 100% goal kicking record and also gain 40 metres with ever touch finder.

If you want to be looking at Union players suggest NZ would have much better options than Sydney grade
