We can probably actually pull that to pieces, to read into Des' mindset a little you know. Examples.

I thought Hargreaves may have been a supplement for Slow-Mo, but Des obviously isn't thinking Hargreaves early in the season.

My opinion is our biggest concern is 13, & 17. I think Des has to play the strongest back row to start (round one, not trial by the way), and that's:-

11. Anthony Watmough
12. Steve Menzies
13. Glenn Stewart

Glenn Stewart would be fantastic wandering both sides of the ruck in my opinion.

That then leaves:- Luke Williamson, Glenn Hall, Jack Afamasaga, Jarred Hargraves, Jason Wells fighting it out for the last back row spot, and if I had to rate these players in order, it would be (and without bias):-

1. Glenn Hall
2. Luke Williamson
3. Jason Wells
4. Jack Afamasaga
5. Jarred Hargreaves (but maybe with the most potential)

Our other spot up for grabs is the props. Assuming we have Le'Strange on the bench (I think Des will go with this), we have a choice of:-

Kite (Definite)
King (Definite)
Perry (Definite)
Cuthbertson (Definite)

Does this mean Bryant misses out?
Does this mean Rose misses out when back?
Trembath isn't there.

Tough one lads. I'd actually try out this team 1st up, but remember, I'd rather be innovative, and try something early like (for round one against Sharks) - and if all available:-

1. Brett Stewart
2. Michael Bani
3. Steven Bell
4. Steve Matai
5. Michael Robertson
6. Jamie Lyon
7. Matt Orford
8. Brent Kite
9. Matt Ballin
10. Josh Perry
11. Anthony Watmough
12. Steve Menzies
13. Glenn Stewart

14. Heath Le'Strange
15. Jason King
16. Adam Cuthbertson
17. Jarred Weara-Hargreaves

and I know, I know, I expect to cop flack for that one.

I really can't see Weara-Hargreaves in any sort of thinking as yet, you know what Des is like when he bloods players, he waits most of the season

the 5 props you named is about spot on I reckon,
and you left Willo out as well , who is one of Des' favorites too
