This was the final Manly game before the Beagles disaster. For a long time this was going to be Manly's last ever game. Sunny Sunday arvo & the fans rocked up on the hill.

But Manly were down 20-4 at the break & then went 26-4 down. Within 15 mins to go Sterlo calls the game over. Fatty stays loyal.

The game is on Fox League today at 2.30pm. But if you watch from about 3.20pm onwards it is a cracker of a finish.

One of the best Manly comebacks for me and recall well watching the match on T V and with a sense of excitement as they stormed back . As the Broncos were premiers the next season , it just added another disappointing aspect with the following' Dark Ages ' 'Bears merger as Manly showed here that they could match the Broncos and with maybe just another quality player or so , would have continued to be very competitive going forward as a single entity . Regardless still a great Manly fight back in this match .

Why is this game on so often? Yawn. It’s unmanly to celebrate a draw.

I prefer the game at brookie when we beat the broncos 28-0.

Or the comeback when we beat them on the buzzer when wolfman scored.
