Sack Spoony Siebold

We aren't in wooden spoon territory, we're where we've been for the last 10 years and are about a 6th placed to a 10th placed team. Injuries to key players deciding ......
I hope you’re right, but our record without Tom is wooden spoonish and apart from the eels (who will probably improve as the season continues) there are no easy beats this year.

But the underlying tone is that manly are a terribly performed club. For instance you mention the broncos and Canberra and they finished well below Manly last year.

I've got mates who support other NRL clubs who would love to have "our problems" over theirs.
Fair points.

I think the reason we are so emotionally charged about the state of things is because we get teased by our performances. If we were consistently sitting at the bottom of the ladder, I am sure there'd be a riot on here, but we'd get a little bit more comfortable with the mediocrity.

The issue seems to stem from believing we are on the crest of a premiership wave, only to be dumped on our heads, time and time again. People get their hopes up. A new year brings new hope and the media talk up our prospects and just when things look like they might be turning, we fall apart and our hopes are dashed.

It wasn't a great performance yesterday but for some us, a six point loss to the Sharks feels like rock bottom. The Eels had 50 put on them last night for the second time in six rounds. That should put things into perspective.

Agreed with a lot of that.

I've personally never felt comfortable all year and was incredibly frustrated by the Raiders game, until the floodgates opened. The first twenty minutes of yesterday's game felt pretty similar, with a heap of possession and yet looking clueless about how to get over the try line. Sadly, that continued for the rest of the game.

Like every yr of the Seibold era,the majority of the wins you could find something to question them about.Cows and Raiders victories this yr are perfect examples. Both were wins helped by favourable refereeing, not saying they weren’t deserved, but they certainly helped with the momentum and in both games, after racing to big leads, they didn’t score a point after the 60th minute and conceded 2 tries late in each due to shutting up shop.A fair bit of that also comes back to the leadership

Yes we are fast when we are skiing downhill. But we know there is a limitation to this approach.

The Biggest Limitations in life to overcome adversity is our own ability to do so
We are not all born with the same attributes and some people are more Gifted in Mind and others in Body and so There will Always be a 1st , 2nd , 3rd , etc etc and Last .
So the Greatest asset in any Organisation are those Great Gifted people the Organisation Invests in
The moral of the story
If we want to keep up and compete with the Best
We have to Invest in the Best

Change The Storms Current Leaders ie Directors CEO and Head coach with the Manly Leaders
and You change the Current Circumstances of both clubs

Absolutely we have been left hamstrung by Tom's ongoing fitness issues and Jake being paid way overs to be a tackling machine. I would sell them all tomorrow if I could. Imagine what we could buy with 3.4 million dollars.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing isn't it? The thing about Jake and Turbo's contracts is, is that when the club signed those long term deals for Turbo & Jake we were all thinking the club did the right thing. At the time they signed those deals both of them could probably have gotten more money going elsewhere. Imagine if the club at the time had let them go?

Yep it was a situation where we didn't get a hometown discount, but they also took less than what the bulldogs offered them.

And let's not sleep on the fact that this place would have burnt down if Tom had that unbelievable 2021 in other colours.

The football team needs a complete "clean out" like the Dogs did. DCE leaving is positive for the cap and the next 2 that need serious pay reductions is Turbo and Jake. If both players are unhappy, I would be incline to let both go to the highest bidder.
sell them off as a 'take one, take all' package somewhere like Dragons would be stoked to get the lot

LMAO so the last time the Tigers held a team to nil was 2020. They beat the Broncos 48-0. Guess who the Broncos coach was. Yep our current saviour. 🤣🤣🤣

Absolutely. I'm not implying we shouldn't have signed them when we did. It hasn't worked out and that's that.

I’d argue that it’s somewhere in the middle of a success and failure. The club has turned its finances and crowd support around, they’re regularly on FTA tv and they’re not the most hated team anymore which garners support from many areas such as sponsors and the Trbojevic’s are at the heart of that.

Fair points you make. Can't argue against any of that.

For the life of why did they give him a contract extension, it’s not like he was settling the world on fire.
My opinion stands, he is not pulling the strings.
