No doubt XV will ascribe any club's signing to a Manly failure.
Would be funny if his obsession wasn't so sad.

Glad you are happy with below average and that we haven't signed any assistants yet.
The only media Manly seems to attract is assistants that are leaving or don't want to join Manly.

It's pretty pathetic where mediocrity is now welcomed by fans like yourself.

It must be amazing to present your agenda-based and biased interpretation of Manly-related media as fact. I suggest you provide some evidence to support at least some of your claims? (Please see sentence two above) Perhaps you could clarify your opinion as just that—an opinion? (See sentences one and three). Hope this helps.

Google Ennis leaving.
Google O'Brien, Daly, Ballin all linked to Manly, but not coming.

You seem to be lazy and trying so hard to be a smart arse and failing miserably.

It's pretty easy to see my comments are not opinions, but in the media. - see below some of the examples.

Is there any other coach in the NRL with so many negative stories in the media? Please tell, Seibold lover.

You are welcome:

Seibs has apparently a great relationship with O’Brien, so I would be surprised if O’Brien doesn’t sign with Manly, as it’s a likely pathway, whereas at the Bulldogs, there’s no pathway for him.

I’m not sure what Seib’s strengths are as a coach. Bellamy, Bennet and Cleary are renown for getting players to play to their potential or even better than their previously recognised potential.

However, even the best coaches with mind games, sometimes fail, and Bennet is a classic example of that. I

I think Des had that to a degree, however, he lost it with not reading the room and just being too focused on what he wanted and not recognising what was happening around him, and the ramifications of same. Rather than post game, he should have stood for his players well before the game.

Your original 'statement' or opinion masquerading as fact was:
"The only media Manly seems to attract are assistants that are leaving or don't want to join Manly."
Note your use of 'only'
Google Manly Sea Eagles News
Count the number of stories in the top search results that don't mention assistants leaving or not signing with the club. (Let's use the search results in the first four pages as the top search results - 40 stories total - 3 stories only would support your original statement. The equivalent of 7.5%)
Note your use of 'only' again.

We as a fanbase have become so accustomed to mediocrity and failure that we accept minimal squad changes (regardless of merit) with a sense of “hope”…

Sh*t potting every decision and every coach will not fix the situation but we truly are f*cked as a club imo…

The Manly board thinking that a coach with a 35% win rate at his last job was going to fix our issues is a symptom of the actual disease I reckon… ie. our failure is not BECAUSE of Seibold but he sure as sh*t is not the bloke that can solve the puzzle (although it is unclear whether anyone can at this point tbf)

For what it is worth ..
There are only 5 current coaches that have win/loss percentages that are substantially higher than Seibold.
Bellamy,Robinson,Bennett and Fitzgibbon are at the top with 60 plus percent,Cleary even with his current streak at the Panthers is at 56.
Everyone else is pretty much at 50 or lower(Seibold is 50).
Not defending the guy but it is a tough gig to be successful on a consistent basis(Ciraldo percentage may go up over the next few seasons).
Unless there is a rookie we are willing to take a shot at(Barrett anyone?)we are not prying the top guys from their clubs.
Walker brothers,Holbrook etc .are just names bandied about hoping they might be ok.
I don't accept mediocrity, but I don't believe in sacking someone unless there is a better alternative,as an employer if you aren't convinced there is someone worthy you are just hoping ....
