Having five or six beachfront homes where players like Saab could live would be very attractive I imagine. Unfortunately, our owners seem to have zero interest in any such investment. Something which has been rightly pointed out by many on here.
Oh to have a super rich beaches real estate kingpin onside ( willing to gift a few apartments at a low price ) , then you could attract some name players

Just watched Michael Cheika on 360. Sounds like a good man manager ala Bennett who could probably get the best out of players, and has had some experience in league. What are people's thoughts on him coaching?

I’ve heard him talk on a few different podcasts and shows and he’s quite the impressive human being. He’s said he would love to coach a league side, but not sure how fully committed to a move he’d be.He’d need to be at the right club and have top level assistants,so I’d suggest Manly isn’t the perfect fit for him

Unless he like a challenge .... but I saw it too and yes I don't think we would meet his requirements.

I'm sure if the money's right and there's no other offers, can't see why he'd say no. We have some good talent in our team especially in the backs that might entice him to get the best out of them especially Koula. I think he can be even better, but Seibold I don't think knows how to unlock him to get his full potential. We only see glimpses unfortunately of what could be one of the best players in the game.

“…moneys right” is the big question. He’d command a fair bit more to coach an International Union side and other League teams would offer more, but not sure anyone would take the “risk”

Seibs is all over the shop.

Tommy to centre.
Tommy to fullback.
Garrick back and forth.
Lehi back and forth.
Tommy Talau everywhere else but his best position.

If the coach can get this far into a season, and still cant work out what his best back 5 is, it's indefensible.
And you forgot ... DCE retains his position at Turnstile

Seibs gets his inspiration from the McDonalds Ice Cream machine.

In the Mole. Not sure if this is old news or not. But Choc is behind the move to sack seidud and replace him with Matty Ballin. Apparently both choc and ballin are managed by mimis. Interesting times ahead.
Interesting? More like frustrating ..... we are in what appears to be an endless three to four year cycle of sacking coaches and announcing a new coach and a "new era". which of course will guarantee success. Following Manly is like investing in a ponzi scheme. Every few years the Penn family suck us in with hope and a bright shiny new coach and then when the reality is shxt they find a scapegoat and then rinse and repeat the coach.

Exactly , and this is what I’ve been banging on about for months.

Without changing much other than the coach , and who are his assistants , the results & outcome will be identical.

If , there is some interest by Ballin ( I have doubts ) he’ll know first hand the issues and stay as far away from the joint as possible.

It’s more likely to be the wannabe assistant from some other club who has no idea will get sucked in ( and eventually spat out ).
