Yep we needed another thread.

Trust me, this time, they'll sack Seibold.
We need endless threads. We need endless people speaking up. What dont you understand? We need the old boys to speak out. Important people read these. Media read these. Vent away.

Willing to give him another run because kicking out your captain, halfback and chief playmaker, alongside your coach, within a single off-season sounds incredibly stupid.

Don't think this loss was on Seibold. We were leading a little after halftime. From there on, it's on the team, and the captain... Who was absolutely abysmal tonight.

I'd prefer for us not to have a dad's army but I genuinely fear what delightful new Barrett 2.0 Penn will gift us.
Begrudgingly agree.

You're a brave and compassionate man, Phobia, to give Seibold another go. I think his time might be up, but I agree that the result tonight was more on the players giving the game away than on the coaching.

I am hoping that the vacuum of clean, fresh air created by the departure of DCE could be the circuit breaker the team needs. I suspect his presence might be even more of a problem than I think it is, and I think it's a HUGE problem. But that could just be the last remaining shred of hope I have left for 2026.

Im on the punt him side but who do you bring in to replace him?

Any coach that can make a difference would never come here, the biggest problem is the owner.
All clubs have the cost covered by the NRL but the bench mark clubs spend a lot more which attracts the best players, coaches, trainers, management and junior players seeking a pathway.

Our owner isn't prepared to do that, its about running everything on an oily rag sticking his chest out because he owns a footy club.

Sack the coach and we get someone else that can't get us into the top 4, I honestly never expect to see a premiership under Penn.

Personally, I feel like a father of distraught children. Our cat just got kidnapped by a rich Greek man, and I need to choose whether I also put down the disease ridden dog or not, and leave them with nothing.

I'm willing to let the dog go a little longer before he goes to the great Kennel in the sky, just to ease the pain on the kids.

Worth noting the residents of the NRL kennel go the opposite direction.

#breakingnews from seibs presser.... Jake won't play next week

That last attacking bomb for Saab was a perfect example of things DCE does that never change.

As we've pointed out in other threads, when Munster or others at Melbourne kick high for Xavier Coates, 99 times out of 100 the ball comes down in the in-goal area allowing Coates, should he catch the ball (he usually does) to just fall to the ground and score.

DCE's attacking high kicks for Saab 99 times out of 100 fall about 5 metres out from the try line. Saab is tall with a 7 foot wingspan ... but he's not THAT tall that he can fall and score from 5 metres out even if he does actually catch the ball.

And tonight wasn't the first time he's been made to look very ordinary by a much younger and vastly less experienced NRL half. Sure Ethan Strange was in the Raiders 6 tonight, but he was opposite DCE on our right edge and he literally gave our 348 game, premiership winning, World Cup winning, Clive Churchill Medal winning halfback a lesson tonight.

Last year against Canberra at Brookie, Kaeo Weeks was their halfback and he did the same thing, made DCE look like a chump.

The game has passed Daly Cherry-Evans by. The Chooks are welcome to him.
