LMAO you of all people criticising name calling. Pot calling kettle black much? Could've sworn you were once calling the coach a term... Something to do with a wooden instrument...

I think all that can be said about the owner or the coach has been said/rehashed on here enough. Personally, my only hope is that Mestrov is as good of a manager as I hope he is. There's been some changes already, but I think time is the only thing that can guarantee results.

This, right now, is just a waiting period for the club. The juniors aren't up to speed yet, and the old people aren't quite gone yet.

The other thing, Ballin said to Seibold himself, that he wants to return to Sydney. I personally wouldn't throw him in the deep end, and make him a head coach yet. You need a lot of coaching experience, at least reserve grade, U'20's, or taking over after a coach is sacked, before coming into the picture. "Manly DNA" isn't enough anymore. See 2015 and 2020. Over the past decade the game has changed significantly, and it just isn't enough anymore.

The two exceptions to that rule are products of Bellamy's system, and even then, Seibold was just the fill-in who took over after Madge was sacked at the Rabbitohs.

Ballin doesn't have enough experience IMO, and neither does Ennis, to be anywhere near the conversation.
If the term you are looking for is spoonbold, I don’t believe I have ever used it.

Good on you! My bad for the confusion... Likewise I don't believe I have used "ASS" or "ASC" or whatever. Name calling just means the argument is fragile, anyway.
Plenty of name calling has been going both ways for a fair while now, sadly there’s a real divide between those anti & and those ambivalent.

Who knows what will happen but I’m almost at the not caring now stage anyhow.

Sadly I think Matt is a long way from a first grade coach , he was tried in the lower grades at Manly but wasn’t a success ( from a source I still have ), some can be great players , but not necessarily great coaches.

He’s working his way through the Brisbane system so may well be good at some point.

But I’m not sure this would be a step forward as he’s still have all the other issues to struggle with so I’d even be doubtful if he’d consider it ( although he might ).
I thought Ballin was behind Barrett in the Broncos coaching pecking order. As much as I like Matt Ballin that tells me everything I need to know about his current coaching credentials. Anyone behind that useless Barrett can't be seen as a head coach in waiting.

Bullemor re-signing reminds us that Seibold gave him his debut at Brisbane before he joined us under Des, who didn’t really get him firing.

Bullemor seems to have risen to a new & consistent level under Seibold’s coaching.

Quick! Sack Seibold immediately!!! 😂
The natural progression of a front rower is to hit their prime at 25-28,Payne Haas aside.Bullemor is 25,so he’s now in his best years.Whilst I’m a big fan,he’s not a dominant, starting prop like AFB,JFH,Tapine etc. and I’m not sure he’ll ever be,but he does a good job in his current role.So for argument sake he has improved due to Seibold, that’s one,who else has improved because as a whole, the team are basically in the same position they’ve been in for many years

Interesting point. One might say that objectively the game gets better (not necessarily as a spectacle) and more professional year on year, and if you look back at size/speed/skills etc over different decades you could think all teams are probably improving, even while some are staying in the same ladder position etc
So more the case of who is improving more, relative to the other teams. This year Dogs and Raiders have done good (although also interesting to note on that injured player list someone posted a day or 2 ago, I think them and also Wahs and Panthers are in top 5 for least games missed through injury - it all plays a part)

Just found that list, in Aloia thread...
Storm and Sharks are the only clubs who are above us on the ladder despite more games lost to injury

Mentioned in Fox article about Manly & Haas interest! Apparently talked earlier this year as he wants to come back south!

take it with a pinch of salt but yesterday on SEN matty johns said there was some noise in the background for matty ballin and jason king to replace seibold & mestrov.
