You take Green out of our side and we wouldn't be where we sit on the ladder, he has to be in our side as long as he can and he is easily the best organization 6 in the game. Green will be here next year and the way hes playing he should be re signed at least another 2 years. You talk about him like his age will catch up with him but halves only get better with age and Greens game is based on brains. Id love to hear some of the stupid suggestions of why he should be gone and who will replace him. Anyone who thinks he should be gone if hes in his current form at the end of his contract are idiots!

Okay junior, he does have some great pros in his game but he also has some significant cons. He is not a five eight you can win a premiership with, and isn't that the aim? He simply does not bring enough to the table, the stuff he does bring is strong, but you need a more complete 5/8 to really challenge the top teams. As they do.

Even Melbourne couldn't win a premiership with him at 5/8.
I think he is a competent first grader, but that we'll need a match-winner at 5/8 - who hopefully can kick goals - to be a serious threat in 2018.

No idea what his contract situation is, but **** he impressed me today ! If the cap comes in low as is being reported, I'd be happy with us to sniff around with an offer that is slightly overs to help ease their pressure

Strong carries with nice footwork and a little bit of skill in him, defends well too, would be a great addition to our weakest area
Always rated him.
Can play centre, 5/8, lock or 2nd row.

Don't agree entirely, what you need at 5/8 is a good combination, which is exactly what he and DCE bring to the table

Chad Townsend is hardly a world beater in the halves, but was enough to get the Sharks home last year in combination with Maloney who is the dominant player there

We need a lot of things to be a threat next season and I don't think it's our halves that are the biggest area that needs improving

Do you really think green is a long term answer, he is 30 odd. And solid at best. He played ok today and has done some good things this year, he has also missed a stack of tackles, given away dumb penalties, put in ordinary kicks and gone missing in a lot of games. He isn't threatening enough in attack to elevate us to a genuine threat, as teams that are a genuine threat have a 5/8 with a far more complete game than Blake.

Someone like Tyrone may comes at half the price and has much more upside.

I don't make a habit of saying stupid things. But you are obviously much wiser than me, I will send you a pm to get your approval next time I post, cool?

Green was bought with a limited shelf life, that shelf life expires when a better option presents itself, may can be bought if he is available and work with green next year which is blakes last.
He could have another 4 years in him, manly may decide to develop a young player to overtake him over that time. Green is in some outstanding form, the best of his career, and he's only been here a year

Blokes who want him gone who do you replace him with? Come on back your stupid comments up with some names

good pedigree ... we could do worse .... but strong ties to the rorters

I think Green provides a lot of good structure in attack - we are just about the best point scoring team in the comp for good reason.

As slow as a wet week across the ground I agree and that hurts his defence.... but his positives in the offence outweigh it all IMO. Unlucky not to get another 40/20 too and is a smart footballer to overcome his lack of legs.

I've thought Cullen deserves another shot at least on the bench and like his speed and hunger - let him develop and see how he ends up. Brown was Ok yesterday and I'm not one of the real haters of him BUT I'd like to see Cullen on the bench.

I, like many others on here, love Cullen's energy and pace with ball in hand but he's not the right half to partner DCE. Both are floaters and instinctive players that need stability alongside them to flourish. DCE has that in Green and Cullen has that in Hastings. Having said that, Cullen would be awesome off the bench. He is a fighter.
