Run the ball Schu

We need some extra attack than the predictable things we are doing (without Tom T)
The Schu wants to play pretty and use his silky skills to create these "half chances"
My challenge to this young potential star is to "RUN" the ball more himself as has great balance, step and strength and we need our best to be their best.
He ran twice vs Storm beating tackles with ease.....as much as he has good hands, my call to Schu is Run first - think pass second with the team we have right now.

This is definitely something he needs to develop. Would be a nice early in the game for him to look up and run hard into the line and keep the defence honest. Then play out the back afterwards

Big boy
Strong and agile, got size and claims could be best in the game, which I think could "possibly" be up there but about 1000 miles to go.
Watch Munster - runs about 10 times each half and can pass, but backs himself.
I got the Schu to be Way better playing this style without Tom being there as a 2nd shift option.....let's go Shu - back yourself Champ 🤙

I wonder what the coaching staff are telling Schu how to play?

Agree, he should now be fit enough to run the ball and take the line on. He can only do that successfully if they train that during the week

Mate the most dangerous player on the field is the bloke with ball in hands, Schu is a big strong lad and hard to stop....I agree, wouldn't you be telling him to terrorise the defence as a bloke apart from Tom is hardest to stop in the Manly side ...

One of the issues at the moment is the opposition are rushing up on him when he is receiving the pill, the slime did this very well.

Of the current spine we only have two creative options in Schuster and DCE, either they look at playing up the middle with more second phase type play to allow some room on the edges or add some more creativity to the spine.

I'm more worried about his efforts in defence...

The NAS try yesterday was very soft.
Now that is a very good call
And I've seen a few more just quietly
Thing is in footy
It don't matter how freakish you are in attack , rule 101 is make the tackle - Commit .....and at times has been questionable for a big boy with natural strength....it adds to ppl questioning attitude as defence is just that - Attitude
I believe Schu is a Star but don't wanna see it in the papers, show us on the field

I still believe Schuster is not fit enough to involve himself constantly
He defends in patches , sometimes he is tackling well and other times he is just putting the arm , I also think he lacks confidence at times on when to actually play the way he wants , He just needs more time week in week out to reach his potential , It takes some players longer to adjust than others

It doesn't help his confidence if we're getting flogged most weeks.
I agree he should run more. He did when he started as an edge forward and he probably played his best football then

1-17 need to run hard and tackle hard. The rest will take care of itself.
I've noticed Josh not keen to take the line on. 100% agree he needs to. A couple of good tackles and runs does wonders for the confidence.

One of the best in the game ?

Don't make me laugh.

It reminds me of when John Lennon was asked if Ringo was the best drummer in the world. He quickly replied "I don't think he's even the best drummer in the Beatles". @:D He was clearly joking. Ringo is very very good.

As far as I can see, Schuster is suffering from delusions of adequacy. Instead of getting his hands dirty, he continues to pretend he's a 16 year old playing U/12's.

If he starts running regularly he might get that calf strain again. 😝

Word on the street was that Paul was the better drummer, which might have been what John was alluding to.

Of course, I am not trying to put sh-t on the great Richard Starkey.

John Lennon's comedy was usually set upon many levels.
