Man, that’s so disappointing. Watching him the last few weeks has been the highlight of the season. When he went off tonight, a spark was missing. He is electric and I absolutely love watching him play.

I'm not sure if there's a thread on the upcoming Pacific matches so I thought I would just post this here.

I was just looking at the possible teams for the 4 teams and man, they all look strong. But my query for thoughts is Koula being listed to play.

Has anyone seen any reports on how his knee is recovering coz it looked pretty bad at the time. I would have thought as with Turbo, that it would be smarter to take the off season to get himself fully fit for next year and not risk re-injuring it.

If it’s a Grade 1 , 1 - 3 weeks. If he's listed, maybe it's just a G 1.

The more I think about it, the more I feel we should move Koula to fullback. He has the speed and power to trouble teams like Walsh. Sure, he doesn't have the kick and pass that Walsh possesses but he has the rest. If it means we keep him, I say do it! Tom to centre.

Not for me, not sure Ive seen the passing game, don't quite see him as that type of creator.

Would be more the Manu, Edwards, CNK type fullback rather than a Walsh, Ponga Turbo type in my view.

Good plan. No reason he cant develop a passing game. Look at Teddys improvement in that area late in his career.

I agree he is not naturally a creative player but was just comparing his running game to Walsh. I just don't want us to lose him and end up with Hoppa at fullback when Tom is injured or finishes up; like Will and Albert, Lehi has put on a few kg and lost the burst of speed he had in 2024. It seems to be a Hopoate thing that when they fill out, they slow right down.

Agreed we dont want to lose him.

However I dont think playing centrismeans farewell to Koula. Look at your Stephen Crichton. You can make a career as a gun centre.
