In saying that I do think it was good he said a top up shouldn't be given. Media hacks like paul kent were kissing his feet saying how noble he was. I think they didn't think about the fact that whatever the nrl gave it probably still couldn't match the money on offer in French rugby. Therefore if or when he goes he can say I always said it was about the challenge haha even though really it seems to be about the money haha

I don't have a problem with the NRL doing this, on the proviso that the marque player has to go to the club at the bottom of the ladder, or the current wooden spooners.That would strengthen the weak in the great socialist tradition of the NRL - all clubs are equal, except if you're Brisbane, Easts and Melbourne!

lack of salary restrictions. Rich owners pouring millions because they have it to pour. They should give it to bill gates so he can cure some more disease instead of overpaying footy players in a backwater competition for the ****s and giggles of owning a team.
