Following a review of the data and the expert advice we have received, the Commission have enhanced these protocols even further by providing a mandatory 11 day stand down period following a diagnosed concussion.”

In exceptional circumstances, Clubs will have the ability to apply for exemption to the 11-day stand-down period, through a review by an independent neurological expert appointed by the NRL. This application will only be allowable where the following set criteria are met:

Category 1 signs/symptoms are not observed
The player is asymptomatic the day following the concussion
Cognitive testing has returned to normal
The player has suffered fewer than five previous career concussions
The player has no previously diagnosed concussions within the previous three months
The player has no history of a previous concussion with prolonged recovery

well that really depends on if faily a HIA is classed as a concussion diagnosis.

being a cat 2 does mean he can apply for an exemption

Who has the best halfback out of our clubs? Have to be Reynolds wouldn't it? Or is there a case for DCE? SJ too hot and cold I reckon but his defence might be the best of the three

I’ve been thinking about this during the first half and it’s a tough one because Reynolds has sorta got better as he’s gone on where as Sj peaked early (or did he?) that season before he broke his leg he was unbelievable, while dce has been the most consistent- won a gf in his debut year (beating Sj) and is still going strong.
So I would say…
On recent form (the last couple of years) Reynolds, dce, Sj.
In their prime Sj, dce, Reynolds.
Over the course of their career dce, Sj, Reynolds.

Young SJ and Walsh are very similar!
