Faitala-Mariner is a decent player, just had an off night.

The poor doggies were all “just having an off night.”

Dogs were in the grind ... the difference was a few good backline plays & kicks featuring the excellent centre pairing of Croker and BJ plus one Jordan Rapana (aka wild thing).

I’m forever perplexed how the dogs can underachieve with THAT pack. But the Raiders has the right game plan: Match them in the forwards and embarrass their backs!! Which they did with aplomb.

Kieran Alsoran actually had a good night and the nien commentators remarked at how good his ball playing was and his running to the line. I actually thought he went close to best on park and certainly the dogs best. He simply doesn’t have the backline around him to make things happen. I am saw a couple of backline plays that looks very familiar (circa 2011) but it was like in slow motion. Man runs to the line, throws it out the back, Raiders twiddle their thumbs waiting for the next guy etc ... if the dogs could get their backline to click they could be a decent side.

They were the better team for most of the match against Souffs but they fell in a screaming heap.

I didn't know St Merge had won 15 premierships? I know St George did, but St George Illawarra have only won 1.

Yet Steve Menzies only scored 151 tries for Manly with 29 accredited to the Northern Eagles......

Woodsys missus finds the hit & spin thing very handy at home with the washing and gets Aaron to do the hit & spin dry !!
It's just not as effective on the field...

Wasn't a bad game tonight really, though it appears that St Merge are starting to come back to the field.

Badger and his offsider didn't do a bad job controlling the game either, they let it flow for the most part.
