Round 4 other games -2021

Is this the biggest supercoach score ever? And to think i was going to pick him as captain

Cody Walker has the SC record for high score. He got 203 against Roosters last year. Think he scored 4 tries in that game as well.

Sonic might update above that though. Have to wait till Monday to find out

Winner winner chicken dinner! You are a chance to be 1st this week.. good luck

Yet another blowout.

So we have in the first three games:
6-46
0-38
6-40

It's heartening to know there are other clubs in the same pot as Manly. I'd add Nth Qld to the list. Means we are a hope of avoiding the spoon.

But how is this the future of rugby league?. How are these blowouts entertaining as contests?. I remember even 5 or 6 years ago the competition was so close, and bottom teams would be very competitive against the top teams. Now that.s all over. After round 4 the teams are already split into three distinct divisions

Top:

Penrith
Melbourne
Souths
Parra
Canberra
Roosters

Middle

Knights
Coast
Warriors
Tigers
Saints
Cronulla

Bottom

Manly
Nth Qld
Bulldogs
Brisbane

You can pretty much call it after less than half of round 4 that these will be the divisions after 25 rounds. How is this a competitive competition, and will most fans even bother watching or caring, particularly for the bottom teams?.

Whats really sad is, the game will become loaded with tall speedsters and the grit will disappear from the game. Worse still, teams are going to start to quit on effort once a result is in the bank to avoid injuries, so a lions share of games won't be worth watching after the 60 minute mark for that reason as well.

Rugby league is in a disappointing place.

Was thinking the same thing myself when I saw the results, NYEagle. The scores won't shock anyone, but is this really what the NRL wanted when they started stuffing around with rule changes? How do routine floggings make for a compelling "product"?

Well put , the haves , the have nots and the wannabes.

Rugba Leeg circa 2020

And I think here to stay

Could be a NSW spine
Yep south’s fans would be thrilled with their spine, as opposed to,

1 walker
6 foren
7 DCE
9 Croker

I’m a Manly fan and devastated with ours, but what about,

1 Turbo
6 Shoe
7 Cust
9 DCE
(14 Foz)

Would this be a better way to take on the warriors?
Please don’t dish us up the same spine again and expect things will miraculously improve, time has surely come to experiment with a different combination! Surely it couldn’t do any worse and seriously do we have anything to lose.
