Can't argue unfortunately, I had you pegged as a Barrett hating lunatic, but you are becoming somewhat of a prophet after today's effort. That presser was painful, everyone knew Barrett had destroyed any chance of a win with that bench. But still Trent looked baffled as to why we got our backsides handed to us in the middle of the field. Starting to think he is in possession of good looks with a very low iq.

I've been one who's been willing to give the bloke a chance, but baffling selections, the team's lack of structure and discipline and what seems to be a lack of fitness are starting to show that he's really not the right guy to coach.

I don't know what the answer is. We can't have Des because he's at the Bulldogs with his own problems. Tooves will never be back as long as the Penn's own the place. About the only coach with NRL experience who is out of work right now and would be willing to coach Manly is Ivan Cleary.

My impression after watching that press conference is that the pressure of the team's situation is starting to effect Baz, and he may truly be nearing the end of his ideas about how to make it work. While we have seen moments of frustration and disappointment pop up on occasion during previous PCs, he was generally able to detach and stay rational, reflective and somewhat professional. However, this PC felt like Baz was over-whelmed and in emotional reactivity, and he was sitting there simply stewing in worry and frustration. Big challenge ahead for him if he holds any hope of making it as an NRL coach.

Didn't watch it but I'm guessing from the comments this weeks problems aren't an easy fix like last weeks were?

Yup that midget bench...when Souths have a big pack was lunacy... especially when we were down on big boppers in the first place. Surely to Christ we have a few boys 100kg + who would have at least had a crack
