He was penalised because he came into contact with a Dragons player, it's ok if you don't touch the opposition

Pretty sure we had a try disallowed earlier this season for a driver when Jake put his hand on our player trying to ground the ball in goal

Yeah I think I remember it.
As @TerryRandall said its always been illegal but I've not noticed them penalising consistently for it.
Of course they got us.
But driver.....

Illawarra is a faux-leader of the premiership. Even with an injury-ravaged team the 'Riff towelled them up. It was just a matter of when Illawarra started to cop some injuries. Now they can start to experience what every other club has endured - some of their best players on the sideline.

You did miss the fact we lost Croker and Wright before half time in that second game.

So 2 man bench with 2 backs (one a half) before half time.

And you missed that our team had three opportunities to convert penalties from in front or nearly in front. One of those missed opportunities (the Croker no try) led to a try on the next set for Newcastle.

Take four points (the try was not converted) off their score and add six to ours, not to mention the changed momentum as a result, Manly win.
