Rose for Origin

If I were a NSW selector I would select the side based on what Queensland would not want.  Too often cockroaches are picked on reputation and headline generating ability, and not on what will strike fear into Queensland.

In the cauldron of Origin, I reckon Rose would be a wonderful bench specialist.  After 20 minutes where the QLD workhorses are gasping for breath he would surely be the last person they'd want to see taking the field fresh.

It's unlikely to happen, but I reckon he could reach carnage if given 30 minutes at Origin level, and think about it, fellows like Kite have had fewer minutes in recent years.

The way he played in the 1st half I was thinking he may be a bolter for the green and gold.

Thought at the time that it may have been better to give him a rest instead of continuing after the break too. Des may have been trying to continue the roll on from the 1st half though.

Should absolutely be testing for an Origin spot. Should've been more in the mix last year as well.

Would add the mongrel that the Blues pack has been sorely lacking for the past 3 years.

There was a period of two weeks where George felt we were abandoning him but Manly made an offer when it was questionable whether he would play again and he was kept on the roster. I am not positive about his level of loyalty but having spoken to him many times and his simple country view on life (and that is not any form of criticism) I would say you are right Fro and it would be a major shock for him to even consider a move.

Would be great coming off the bench. The first prop picked will be Aidan Tolman from the Storm (Bellamy has said he wants him in his side)
