Read the description of my post.

"After the completion of Round 21, with all 6 Bye Points added to all teams, we have dropped one position from 5th to 6th."

Thanks for bolding that for me. I guess it just confusing when you allocate byes, but then Have a Column with current byes. Then say we have moved from 5th to 6th when we are sitting 7th.

Thanks again for the big font and bolding Though

I am sorry for the confusion.

My version of the ladder takes into consideration that all teams have 3 bye rounds over the duration of the season and instead of allotting each team their two points when each of their bye rounds come around, they instead receive all of their bye points in advance, at the start of the season, which means that all teams start the season on 6 points.

In my opinion, this way gives a more accurate account of actual positions on the ladder and yes, at the moment, the positions will most likely be different to what is displayed on the official NRL Ladder but both ladders will be the same at the end of the season.

If the 'Current Byes' column is confusing for you or anyone else, I will remove it in next week's version.

But it still doesn't account for the differing number of games teams have played due to the real-world application of a Bye round. I.e. byes don't just mean 2 points, they also mean that there is never any point in the season proper where all teams have played an equal number of games. It's like looking at the ladder mid-round, after teams have played Thurs and Fri nights, but before the rest have played Sat and Sun - obviously this cannot show any team's true position

Maybe some of you wait till the end of the final round, then look at the ladder to reduce stress.
