Geoff Gerard, lost for parra against manly in 76, and I think v saints in 77. Lost for manly v parra 82 and 83. Retired at penrith before they won.

David Barnhill played from the bench in Canberra's 1990 premiership team (he wore #16 in the GF win over Penrith). Paul Sironen or even someone like Gavin Miller I can accept. But this is supposed to be a team of players who never won a premiership.

And remember our loss to the Cows at Brookie in Rd.19 this year? RLW didn't give any Manly player a rating above 6......other than the two players almost everyone else rated as our worst on the night (Peta Hiku and Luke Burgess). They were horrible that night yet RLW gave them 7 each.

1988. Gus coached the Scumdogs to a premiership in his first season as a head coach. He never won a premiership as a player though.

Mayes was here in 73 and Junee was at Manly 74-75. They basically traded places after both being at Easts up till 1972. Both ended up back at Roosters in 76. Mayes got a premiership at Manly in '73 and went on for a threepeat at Easts in '74 and '75. Junee missed out wherever he went, couldn't time his run unfortunately. Turned up a year late, or left a year early.
