The Canterbury Bankstown club had a previous nickname prior to being called the Bulldogs. What was it? (Easy)

Less well known is that Western Suburbs also had a previous nickname to that of the Magpies. What was it? (Harder)

NOt a bad idea - either that or have a couple of questions each week.

Just trying to fill in time waiting for the season to start!

canteen,it wasnt an official moniker but you would be surprised to know that wests had a period of big spending in the mid 1900s which did earn them the title of "millionaires".players like kel oshea and arthur summons were bought in a spending spree to add to blokes like kieth holman.

Manly were called the new Wests in the 60s and 70s. Irony is that Roy Masters used the Fibro/Silvertail thing as a great motivator for the Magpies in those great wars in the 70s and early eighties.

Now it is only the Rorters who are the millionaires!
