Manly haven't played the Broncos at Brookvale Oval since 1999 when they managed a 26-all draw. The overall record at the ground against the Broncos is six wins, one draw and three losses. Brisbane are going for three straight wins against the Eagles, something they've only done once before. Brisbane won their opening three matches against Manly from inception in seasons 1988 and '89 but have failed to repeat the trifecta since.
Manly have never beaten Brisbane three times in succession.

    Terrible trends
The Manly Sea Eagles last lost six in a row (a prospect they are facing) between rounds two and seven last season. The last time they lost four premiership matches in a row at Brookvale Oval (they have lost their last three) was when they went on an eight-game losing streak at the ground throughout the 2003-04 Telstra Premiership seasons
