Interesting to note that the sides that have dominated the competition since 2014 (in terms of premierships, minor premierships and/or GF appearances).....Melbourne, North Qld, Brisbane, Chooks, Cronulla and Canterbury all feature prominently on that list.

And correct me if I am wrong but aren't those generally the same clubs that fans have been saying for the past few years seem to be the favoured ones in the NRL?

Sutton has ruled that all the contentious calls in the Donkeys favour were justified.
He said the knock-on was a knock back... now, I could live with that if I hadn't watched any RL for the past decade when virtually every dropped ball is ruled a knock-on. Let's see if any other team receives the same consideration in the rest of the round. If so, then perhaps knock-backs will once again be ruled in that way, which would be a good thing.
Not surprisingly he said the penalty and sin-binning in the 79th minute was correct.
The report, on the NRL propaganda web site, did not mention the penalty against a Morris Brother for a brush nowhere near the ball which was ruled an obstruction.
The Dogs were duded. As an unbiased spectator to the match it clearly showed that the NRL has a rule: "All teams are created equal; only some teams north of the border are more equal than others" (with apologies to George Orwell)
South of the border and east of central station too!!

How do they explain the forward passes the chooks threw with the touchie directly in line but no call.

As Paul Kent said once, I reckon the touchies have their eyes painted on.

The touchy that match wasn’t up to it even the commentators couldn’t believe some of the forward passes she let go , token female official big hugs for the NRL.

$25000 fine for Dean Pay after his post-match comments.

Meanwhile... the same inconsistent referee decisions will continue and no coach is allowed to criticise it.

They are, They just have to do it privately to the ref's boss (who has a brother as a ref).

That way no one can hear about it, the ref's don't have to take any action on it, and the ref criticised can go hard against that coach's team even more next game and the public won't realise why it is because the complaint was private.

Note that Barrett said he had raised concerns about cannon ball tackles creeping back in. Walker cops one, no penalty.

see? Amazing! #talkthegameup #sarcasm
