It amazes me how little attention Manly receive anywhere, maybe Horo sometimes with Mason. It is disgusting for these ex nrl players never mention them in the conversation of being a contender. I think we have more than a chance come finals. We have great clutch players and Some great forwards standing up and speed to burn. Can’t wait for us to come from nowhere to challenge.

Go eagles

What does it matter?Until they actually win something,it’s hollow praise anyway.Given the roster, this is near enough to where this squad should be positioned. They’re definitely improving, but they’re not in the same league as the Dogs as far as growth and improvement is concerned.Unless they,or any team really, beats the two big guns,Storm and Panthers, the praise doesn’t mean anything anyway. Not to mention the fact Manly has one of the smallest fan bases,so it’s not going to “sell papers” so to speak.

Ouch !!! Truth hurts. My only comeback would be that You'd want good results if you'd spent what the Bulldogs have spent. They are mentioned first to every name player, who comes on the market. They've been to the Sumbrero manufacturer to get one just like the Roosters. Our only marquee signing in recent years is Brooksie. I'm kinda happy to fly under the radar when we're doing well. But until we can free up some cap space I can only invisage minor yearly improvements.

I noticed we don't get a lot of space in the papers after a games.

Roosters seem to get more then there fair share, other teams only when it's negative.

The Dogs have only spent “BIG” on Kikau,Burton,Crichton(only centre money though)and to a lesser extent Mahoney.None of them would be on more than Manly’s highest 2-3 paid players. The rest have been bits and pieces players that wouldn’t cost much and have performed above expectations.Whether those players have sustained success is a different matter. But Gould and co are trying to build a nursery, similar to the Panthers, where they won’t be reliant on spending on too many big names
