There is young talent being identified and currently within our system (16’s, 18’s) but the talent we have at NRL level aren’t developing as quickly as we’d hoped. Is it coaching, is it a lack of resources when compared to other clubs? Potentially.

The one thing the club is doing well is identifying young talent. Over the past two years we have:

+ Made the 2017 Harold Matt’s Grand Final

+ Won the 2017 Under 20’s competition

+ Won the 2018 Harold Matt’s Grand Final


There are obviously positives within the club at these levels but they need to translate to success at NRL level.

Replace Barrett with Maguire or Cleary
Keep the rest of the squad
Would we be seeing different results , I think so

When a good coach takes over. You see a transformation. Look no furrher than South's this year. A rookie Doughie in the halves, Reynolds now back in form. A club gets transformed in the off season, certainly add an extra 13 weeks and you can see what teams are improving.

Previously Bozo was apparently running the show and Trent and assistants couldn't do their job.

So this would make it TBaz's first year doing things his way. It is looking worse than Average.

The other thing that probably can't be left out of the equation. Penns miss management of the cap.

It was interesting listening to Gus talk about Parra issues this year. He seemed to say it has nothing to do with Arthur and everything to do with club having cap issues.

As soon as a coach is shopping players around, because of a bad cap. The players will shop the coach around. They individually won't put in. Next minute the entire team is sinking.

Eels, Dogs, Man all cap issues. All at the wrong end of the ladder.

Everyone in our squad is rumoured to be moving else where.

Penns have to take responsibility. The buck or lack of bucks stops with them.
