MVP: Rd 5 v Broncos

DCE's relatives are easy to pick out on here. How he could get votes after that effort last night is beyond me

3. AFB
2. Jake
1. Croker

I almost gave DCE the 3 points solely on his effort to pull that obstruction penalty and deny Broncs 4th try...
Fair enough. But the way I look at it is that if he didn't run around like a headless chook and take poor options we wouldn't have needed to rely on disallowed tries. A below par performance again last night from our Captain and chief playmaker. We got out of jail but it was more luck than good game management. Refs did us a favour

3 - Addin Fonua-BEAST
2 - Tom the try saver
1 - Hank Scorpio

After Marty went off early, AFB came on and was exactly that, a beast. His runs were awesome.

Turbo's defensive game now rivals his attacking game. For Joe Ofahengaue to go on Instagram and claim his last minute try saver on Coates should have been called a "shoulder charge" was a joke. Sour grapes from a sore loser.

Parker had two jobs last night. Play centre and protect Funa. He did both well.

Honorable mentions to DCE, Walks and Lachlan Croker.

None of them were great (AFB was close) but I thought DCE was good. Long kicking game was mostly good, tackled well (as always), pulled the penalty out of his you-know-what, ran a great line to score and deft grubber 6 min from half time to get a repeat 6 that led to Funa's try (which was a critical turning point)...

In fact, with the obstruction play and the repeat set you could say that it was DCE who swung the momentum in that game because we were screwed b4 that 3 or 4 min period...

3 - AFB (goes without saying)
2 - Tom (wonderful try saver at the end, topped off his great game)
1 - Jake (usual non-stop defence, helped keep them scoreless in 2nd half)

Addin Fonua-Blake 3
Tom Trbojevic 2
Brad Parker 1

DCE just missing out on points. It was a great try by him and he also saved us with the presence of mind to slap down the ball at the end before it reached unmarked players.

I’m convinced that AFB is just about the best prop in the game. Having another player like him coming off the bench would make us extremely hard to beat

Tom with some strong runs and great defence

Parker was once a player who got ragdolled a lot. He now runs and hits like a truck. He has been fantastic since the start of 2019 now

3 AFB
2 Tom
! Jake
Thought Croker, Parker, Wadell, Thommo all had a go.
