... and scored a try. Despite this rarity the Shirkers still got thrashed.
It's just not working with Slacktown. We could achieve the same mediocre results having a true Manly Sea Eagles reserve grade team.
When you consider we don't have a single FG player running around because they came through the juniors in Blacktown, you can see how pointless the whole operation is. I hate the jumper, I hate the name and I feel nothing for them. Also, when you watch the side run out, it's the strangest collective body shape/composition I have seen. There are so many short players carrying too much weight. It's like a team full of Ray Vaega. Bizarre.

That's the Bulldogs every game. Worst team at missed tackles, but their scrambling defence from their "smaller" mobile forwards is what wins them games and have the second best defence.
I hope the game plan from Seibold is to run the big men through the middle against the Dogs, the Raiders plan worked well against the Dogs where they played a lot of their footy on their right edge and then through the middle.

Confident we beat them at 4 Pines.

43 missed tackles and we still won.

Yep. Shows stats don't always show the whole story.
This is from the Dogs v Saints (dogs in blue)

Back from Canberra and what an awesome afternoon it was yesterday. I loved the different experience of being at the Raiders' stadium, with the horn and viking clap (@davohan123 you were right). Their fans were pleasant too and it was just a great atmosphere.
It was amazing how many Manly fans were around me, not only in the away fans area, but the bays on both sides as well and we were all frequently chanting loudly as one during the game.
And of course the best part was the superb win! It was definitely worth the effort to get there and I'd highly recommend the experience!

Great report
Makes the trip home that much sweeter

Even Mal Meninga said you can't blame the ref for that call but Atkins really should have let it go to try then call upstairs as no try.
Had it been the Eagles I would agree 100% Mick but come on mate it was only the faders, surely no one would agree that the kick was intentional, they're just not smart enough, lol

100%, I lived in Cooma for 6yrs 10yrs ago and went to all the Manly games in Canberra, it's just amazing how much support Manly has in the ACT. Even in the off season you'd see plenty of Manly jumpers around Canberra. Also, the Manly chant came through loud and clear on the Fox footy channel, would of loved to be there to see the carnage up live..lol.

Agreed. To the naked eye it was a clear knock-on and I commend the ref for calling it so promptly. It was only when the incident was slowed to stop-frame motion that you could see his foot touched the ball. That's the problem with technology; it distorts perception, causing unnecessary controversy.
