And BTW, we have lost so much without Tommy at the back. Why isn't he playing? (I haven't had a chance to catch all the news).

Kicking game has been excellent, albeit a little too conservative for my liking.

Souths have been near perfect.

Suli clearly knocks it back and they are still crying about it... refs killed us that half that was a joke. Suli never lost it and dce was held you cant take him back like that they always call held straight away. Rubbish nrl... garbage in garbage out these commentators are pathetic bunch of clowns

It's truly amazing how one team is consistently offside but the other one is never off side and can somehow cover 10 metres faster than usain bolt. Lucky we have such honest and skilful refs to pick this up.

1 penalty conceded.....DCE cops a late hit, they have been offside at just about every Manly play the ball. But only 1 penalty conceded or while we have been hit with what, 7 or 8 penalties?

Our edge defence, especially on the left, hasn't been great. But we have so far been refereed out of this game.

I think the biggest problem and leading to a lot of the other issues (including the penalty count), is our lack of resolve around the ruck in defence. We have not dominated and managed tackles and constantly allow Souffs through the line and on the front foot. This is allowing Souffs to get into an attacking kick position or simply generating trys and/or penalties as we are caught retreating on the back foot.

We need to compete ferociously around the ruck and own it. That one simple adjustment will bring confidence and points as long as we are patient. We are definitely missing Turbo at the back though
