Queensland open to NSW invasion

You are quite correct with regards to the Caribous being long gone and the Hercs being based at RAAF Base Richmond however, you are incorrect with regards to the Globemaster.

Both 36SQN and 37SQN used to be based at RAAF Richmond operating a fleet of 12 Hercs for each Squadron (36SQN firstly with the C130A and then C130H & 37SQN firstly with the C130E and then C130J).

36SQN is now based out of RAAF Base Amberey operating 8 C-17 Globemaster aircraft.

36SQN had their fleet of 12 C130H Model Hercs transferred to 37QN when 36SQN moved up to RAAF Base Amberley just prior to taking possession of their first Globemaster aircraft.

The fleet of 12 C130H aircraft have since been retired after approximately 34 years of service.
So what you're saying is we have very little firepower in Nsw to threaten the bananabenders? How did we get stuck with the transport fleet ffs. Do we at least have any kickass choppers? I think we do, I saw a few fly over crescent head recently with double rotors. Looked pretty formidable.

I stand corrected, always seen at least 2 globies at Richmond so figured they were based there as well as Amberly. admittedly 1 of those was our ride so really only 1 extra.

Both Hercs and Globemasters are transport planes, the globemaster is a lot bigger and flies a lot faster.

Twin rotor was probably a chinook, a transport helicopter. We do have tigers in the army but I think they are based in NT.

The irony that NSW has the special forces and an abundance of Navy guys is not lost on me. No wonder Qld is open to an invasion.

The best time for NSW to attack would be on an origin night, but even then, the inept threat would probably be nullified by Qld simply using a couple of ScanEagles and a few A Mk 19 40 mm grenade launchers.

I don't think our guys would have to miss the game for an event that would require less effort than the average Shoalwater Bay training exercise.

Do we still have the Taipan helicopters?

Solved!

Sweet more coastline for NSW

I'm living in the Redlands these days , on Moreton Bay overlooking the Bay Islands, so I think the invasion will miss me, I'm thinking when NSW attack they'll head straight up the M1 past the Goldie ( full of foreigners anyway) come around the Riverside Expressway, and head straight for Suncorp Stadium, blow up the Wally Lewis statue and the Queenslanders will be that heart broken they'll just give up!!

If you can't beat em , kill em!!!!!

God I love Qld and being a Queenslander. So relaxing and stress free. I feel sorry for you poor, fragile little darlings, with all of your big dreams and tiny pee pees. Here's to you guys and your magnificent state! Cheers...
