There is a really fantastic (and large) article in the IT section of the SMH today. It is available online at

It looks at upcoming issues with the size of processor pathways (Moore's Law hitting the wall) and the possibilities from work being done on processors using atoms based on quantum physics principles. :!:

Complex problems could, in a decade, be solved almost instantaneously.

That is really crazy Narcissus. I think the fascination is the inability to get our heads around what is happening, except that we know that it just is.
