And all we have control over is how we play. That is where we need to start, because quite frankly, I don't wanna be winning games on rub of the green and ref decisions. I want us winning on merit. It wasn't merited tonight even if we slipped through by luck (and trust me, I believe we were certainly hard done by compared to Penrith).
I don't know... That last try with Green slipping off the tackle 3 times was pretty impressive.
Winning by merit.. I think scoring tries that are dubiously overturned by the bunker is going towards the boys winning by merit... Merit got them over the line. I agree we didn't play our best but at the same time the panthers were no better.. It wasn't luck of the bounce of the ball that cost us the game but bad decisions by the referees. It's not luck.. The bunker reviews the replays.. Opens his mouth.. Lies are spoken. Game changer!
Sorry, while I think the "rub of the green" was against us tonight and a different butterfly flap could have seen us win through... the two no tries against us were understandable, though difficult to swallow. The Peachey try was controversial and the ref needs to explain his thought process behind sending it up as a try. However, we did not play well enough in my opinion. We were poor and didn't adjust to what we should have known was coming. Yes, the refs were crap and need a bollocking, but more importantly, we were poor and let ourselves down tonight.

Penrith didn't break through our defence until the 79th minute! We were level 10-10 (2tries-1) and started the game with Penrith attacking our line set after set, yet we rose above whatever adversity we faced. We would've won no doubt had that peachy try not been given, which it shouldn't have been given. Our attack, when we got the chance, was classy. We were off the pace a little although our toughness would've taken us to week 2 of the finals had we not been robbed so late in The game
No way the NRL was going to ruin the Cam Smith love fest by calling things like that.
