Premiers 2025

That’s the whole point, they want the dynasty and are the only team that has that opportunity, it’s a pretty strong motivation to keep at it, especially when they still have such a strong core group and an endless supply of future talent.
It’s a Dynasty already , if they win again , not sure what you’d call that

I don't see the Panthers being anything but a top two team again. I would be shocked if they missed the top4.

Luai and JFH are big outs but Blaize Talagi is a future star and getting Isiah Papalii is an underrated move in my view. Expect him to get back to his Eels form.

While I would give the Storm the slight edge, the Panthers are right there again.

The Sharks are a clear third for me, with the Broncos the wildcard if they can get back to their best.
I’m at a loss why the Broncos are getting so much support. I actually don’t rate them. In all honesty I just cannot see what is so good about them? For mine they will struggle to get into the 8…..

I really dunno about the Panthers, they should but think about these things.
They’ve been whittled away due to salary cap issues ever since they won title 1. Each year they recover but this has to , and some point , have an affect.
The key word from your post is Affect
Every one is Affected in different ways

Adversity has a negative affect on the weak as the weak capitulate under pressure
Adversity has a Positive affect on the strong as the Strong are used to thriving under pressure

The Panthers are still dominated by strong leadership in their squad
The Strong are the Survivors

Agree Mark, it’s called extending the Dynasty, perhaps they secretly have thoughts on displacing the Goons and the goal stays alive each year until it doesn’t.

There in rare air, establishing all sorts of records along the way, from both the individuals involved and the club overall, as close as we got to anything like it was our run in the seventies and that felt pretty bloody good, our mid nineties was not bad but failed to yield what it could have, I can only imagine how good it feels to be a true blue lifer on the Riff at the moment, pure gold.

If they win again , I doubt it’ll ever be repeated
Dunno if they can do the 5-peat MfB but, despite losing a couple of gun players, it would be a seriously brave man to write off any side with Cleary, Edwards, Martin, Yeo, To'o, Tago and Leota in it...

Throw in guys like Kenny (workhorse and good decision maker), Alamoti (huge last year), Smith (gun impact player), Sorenson, Henry (massive potential), Geyer (looks a player) and then you have Talagi and the McLean boys who could be absolute stars....

The drizzle are definitely favourites I reckon but I personally cant see the Riff slipping too far down the ladder...

They should have won the 2023 GF with a fairly similar team.

While I agree they may struggle again, they have shown they have a very high "ceiling" when they get it right - which is why i labeled them the wildcard

Hey Rocky….understand what you’re saying, however I don’t believe they’re anything special. Yeah they shoulda, coulda done better in 2023 but they didn’t. They were nothing before then & I believe same now. All this hype yet zero to show for it.

Fair enough - perhaps 2023 was the outlier year.

Either way hopefully we can take care of them in 2025.

Melbourne has the team to win it in '25. Not alot of changes to the squad. Utoikamanu is a great pick up and addition to the likes of NAS, Welch, Kamikamica and Katoa. Harry Grant in the best spine combo of Paps, Munster and Huges. Wishart and Fa'alogo adds great attack.

The Bunnies are my dark horse. Latrell, Johnson, Campbell Graham, Wighton and Walker in the backs. Along with Murray, Kolomatangi, Arrow are more than solid players......being coached by Bennett. They won't play in the GF, but I think they are finals team.
