Pre-Game Discussion - Dragons V Manly[Round 26, 2025]

Not sure our record at kogarah is much better than the gong. Still remember that comeback game they won back in the early 2000’s. One of the few times I have been to that place, and the last.
Manly have played the Dragons at Jubilee Kogarah 9 times since they merged with Illawarra at the end of 1998 for the start of the 1999 season.

Since the merge, Manly have played them at Kogarah in:
  • 2004 (Round 25) and lost 36 - 34,
  • 2007 (Round 16) and lost 26 - 22,
  • 2010 (Round 23) and lost 32 - 10,
  • 2010 (Finals - Week 1) and lost 28 - 0,
  • 2012 (Round 4) and lost 17 - 6,
  • 2013 (Round 8) and won 18 - 24,
  • 2014 (Round 19) and won 12 - 21
  • 2020 (Round 9) and lost 34 - 4, and
  • 2022 (Round 19) and lost 20 - 6.

Prior to the merge, Manly played the Dragons 24 times at Kogarah between 1950 and 1996.

Out of those 24 games, Manly had only won 8 games, had 15 losses and 1 draw.

Worse than I thought. That first game was the infamous comeback from hell.

It sure is, and it would have to be against our #1 bogey team at their ground!
Disagree with the rating, as there is only a small 'mathematical' chance now.
The 4 losses in a row before the Dolphins game were all more important to the season, especially the Easts loss which was a "4 point game" at home against a team we had to beat.
And yet, I am going to Kogarah on Saturday, which is sheer masochism.

Credit to those who are going. It's a sh*thole place Kogarah. We basically need to win the next 2 by 40 points each and have the fins only win 1 and the rorters only win 1. Not likely but hey at least there's still hope.

I think after the last home game and the big UP for the 350th there will be a real let down this weekend.

I expect to have our arses smacked , but maybe not a flogging.

And then they’ll be back up for the last home game when it means **** all.

It’s just how we roll

Depends what happens to the snow cocks on Friday night. If they lose then we have massive incentive, not that seems to help us much lately.
