I was an alter boy...we even got paid to do special masses (in cash not favours).
While I'm not going to weigh into this existence of God debate too much- whatever floats your boat.
While I have a few good reasons to be cynical about the church (my upbringing being strict Catholic) whether there is a God or not it can't be a bad thing having faith in something or someone, as long as you don't use it as an excuse for blowing up buses/ trains and yourself in Gods name.
Has anyone seen the cartoon version of God from 'SouthPark'- funny impression looks like a really ugly hamster.
