They sure do and, from seeing the capitulation in the 2nd half, I don't know what happened or didn't happen at half time but obviously there was no coaching

What amazes me is the suggestion that because Barrett is leaving some players may be spitting the dummy and want out. If that is so they need to have a very good look at themselves. They have just assisted in bringing Manly closer to a wooden spoon than any season but the very first in '47. It should be the other way around. Some should be asking themselves if they deserve to not only play for Manly but to play first grade. I can understand wanting the right coach, but they have been saying they favour the present coach claiming he is excellent in his role by displaying performances that have neared them to the bottom of the comp. That's not the coaching they should be favouring surely if they want ongoing big pay packets. If there are one or two who want out, show them the door and indicate they wont be wanted back.

The players are just **** and capitulation is what they do. Frank winterstein is such a dog**** piece of garbage i actually hate him he dummied to turbo whom could have gone over 200 points in supercoach and set a record though he still might but that could of broken the titans then and there. Instead 2 plays later frank drops the ball and they go up field and score. Thompson double movement (idiot) we had them he let them off the hook. As did kelly with his **** attempt to dive over. Then he misses the tackle for a piss weak try. We should have murdered them but... we are spoon material and our coach is not a coach

I do have a problem with the media though who are all trying to portray the Manly coach as a victim.

According to a Titan player on ABC radio the Titans coach let loose the biggest spray of the season in his half time speech last night & look how his players responded to him.

Meanwhile the Manly coach wants us to feel sorry for HIS players twice dropping their heads after a disallowed try call by immediately giving up a try to the Titans. .

The game is all about momentum in 2018. The NRL and referees love it. It takes just one dumb mistake or decision to completely turn a game on its head, like going for a penalty goal instead of keeping the pressure on, or trying for a double movement that will never escape the video referee and will end in a penalty.

I agree. Nrl should model their contract somewhat similar to the NFL but different. For eg. When a player signs a contract, let's say cherry Evan's for 1.3 million a year. It should be 650k guaranteed in pocket for the season no matter results. Up to another 650k can be earnt during the season. Divide 650 by the amount of games in a season including finals. In Evan's case that would mean roughly around 23k a game if he wins. If he doesn't he misses out. So really every players potential earnings depend on themselves, and provides more ambition to go deep into finals to earn more money

Spot on. Then you wouldn't see the smiles and chatter with the opposition players after a loss. They'd be pissed off and be needing to explain to the missus/family/ themselves why they didn't earn a paycheck..

I’m appalled at the capitulation, but more so at the replacement referee. As soon as the lead ref went off with a torn hammy, we had nine penalties against us in a row, all blown by his replacement. The other guy gave nothing to either side. How can one imbecile have so much influence on a game? I had to be mildly restrained by a security guard as he walked up the tunnel. Plus I’ve lost my voice from hurling abuse at him.

Years ago they were payed for a win or loss and it was different amounts. As DCE said in the presser , "we get paid to play". That says it all to me about him and where his priorities are. It isn't playing for mates, supporters, club or colours.

Absolutely. The titans held us down a number of times with no penelty. This merkin came on and straight up penelised walker for holding down , not even half as long as some titans were. Couldnt belive it.
